History
In 1982 Diane Strongman went to Beetson Horse Market, she returned with a Shetland Pony for just £30; he was a bag of bones and Diane couldn't bare to leave him. Over the years Diane took in more unwanted, elderly or abandoned ponies and animals.
Diane rented a plot of land before selling her home to buy her own land where she could live and look after the animals she had adopted. In 1990 Diane died, she was only 42. The Rescue was taken over by Sarah who had been a volunteer for 2 years, she has now been providing care and shelter for the animals for almost 24 years. |
